The long anticipated guidebook to ice climbing in Washington State is finally out.  After four years of intensive research and interviews we have finally put something together that we are both quite proud of.  Washington Ice: A Climbing Guide is now available from Mountaineers Books.

There are a number of routes in the guidebook which exist on private land, require permission, or are currently closed to climbing.  Up to date information on closures and new information on private property will be addressed on a regular basis throughout this site.  If you discover that an area is open or closed to climbing, please feel free to email us and we will make the information known.

Though we have both done a tremendous amount of research and countless interviews on ice climbing in Washington, there are certainly going to be mistakes.  No guidebook is without them.  Up to date corrections on routes, approaches, descents, and history will be presented here as they are discovered.  Once again, please feel free to email us with corrections.
